The Astor Grill is a traditional grill room in an elegant Victorian atmosphere and features fine Tasmanian meats, seafood and game.

Well known and respected Hobart Restaurateur John Caire first opened The Astor Grill in 1982 and after several years under the ownership of Tony and Jan Francis, in 2008, it resumes under John's ownership with Chef Rebecca Radcliffe.

The Astor Grill earned a string of awards whilst establishing itself as a cherished and consistently memorable standard for fine dining.

Much of the success of The Astor Grill is attributed to the elegant surroundings that were originally a dining room for a boarding house when the building was first completed in 1922. An established Hobart Icon, The Astor Grill under long and steady loyalty, excellent premium produce and dedicated staff wish to extend you a warm welcome and trust you will enjoy your dining experience that our reputation has been built on.
