The Ride
For a DEVIL of a ride, join us on the DEVIL JET for 30 minutes of action packed excitement on the beautiful upper reaches of the Derwent River.
Power on up the river, past rustic scenery steeped in convict history, and experience the thrill of shooting the WILD DERWENT RIVER RAPIDS as you skim over the exploding white water between exposed rocks. Add a few 360 degree spins on this 20 kilometre round trip, and you have JET BOATING AT ITS BEST.
We operate a Harwood 5.9 metre 12-seater Jet Boat designed and built in Tasmania especially for the Derwent River conditions. The new Jet Boat is powered by a Big Block V8 Chev motor, developing approximately 300hp and is coupled to a 273 Hamilton Jet Unit, pumping some 15 tonnes of water per minute. This design draws only 15cm of water while reaching speeds of approximately 80kph.

For your safety the driver is fully qualified and the Jet Boat meets rigid Marine specifications set down by the Tasmanian Navigation and Survey Authority. We cater for all ages, families and groups, and all gear and life-jackets are supplied.
DEVIL JET operates every day on the hour between 9am and 4pm with a minimum of 2 adults. For this unforgettable experience, it is advisable to book 24 hours in advance by contacting us.
